We Made It

November 30, 2012 by Joel and Andi

It has been a crazy week, but we now have almost everything in our new home.  The only thing left to move is one last water tank that Joel will bring over tomorrow.  We are all tired and sore, but we are so excited about our new home.  WE LOVE IT!!!  Moving our stuff up the stairs was quite the work out, but it is done and we are now settling in.  We will be without running water until Joel’s folks arrive, but for the first time in a LONG time we are settling into a house and not planning to move.  There is a lot of work to do with unpacking, but our kitchen is set up and ready to work which is what matters here.  Our first day in our home we sat out on the balcony with our host family, drinking tea, and thanking God for the house he had provided for us.  Visitors, vacation and celebrating our savior’s birth are just around the corner.  We are ready for all the blessings that time will bring into our life.

Pictures of What We Have Done So Far

Our kitchen is smaller than our last one, but has way more room for storage
Our Kitchen is the most set up, because it is the most used room in our house
At the moment the boys are the only ones with beds to sleep in
Our living rooms and dining room
Our favorite area of the house. The nice cool balcony where we sit and relax
The work we still have ahead of us...and much more 🙂

Oh I love the new house. I would be out on the balcony all the time as well. Praise the Lord for providing such a great place.

I love it! I think the balcony would be my favorite place, too :). The windows are great! So happy to hear that you’re getting settled.

Looks like “home” already! God has really blessed you with wonderful attitudes in the midst of what could be very frustrating times–although I’m sure you’ve had them. We continue to lift you up to the FATHER regularly.

You are amazing! Can’t believe you have the time and energy to take pictures of your new place and write about it. But I am so appreciative that you include us in the excitement and shared joys. What a lovely place you have! Hope you get water soon.
