African Missionary Training

January 31, 2013 by Joel and Andi

Monday we embark on a new journey

We are so excited to be part of NTM’s first missionary training taking place in Dakar for African Believers!  A week ago there were 8 candidates and now there are 15.  It has been so amazing watching as God has worked to put together all the details of this training.  The training will be for the whole month of February, so we ask you to join us as we pray for this amazing opportunity before us.

There are still so many here who need to hear God's truth
We are excited to work with the local church to see the truth spread
Pray with us this month!

Here is how you can pray:

  • Pray for the 15 registered for the training, some of who are coming from different countries around us.
  • Pray for their families as many of them will be separated during this time
  • Pray for the safe travel of those who will be traveling to Senegal to help with the training
  • Pray for all the teachers as they prepare to teach in a culturally appropraite way
  • Pray for Joel as he will be teaching 3 sections of the training in the first week
  • This training is in its building phase, so pray for wisdom as it continues to be shaped and formed

This training is only a small seed, but we are excited to see how God will make it grow!

As I was reading this an image flashed through my mind of the beginnings of an institute where Africans will come from all over to be trained in missions. Whether that may happen or not, what an exciting thing to be a part of. I will be praying for you all! And especially Joel this week.

    ACORN POWER
An acorn is only small. To look at it you would think it was weak and not very important at all.
But from one acorn a might oak tree can grow.
And from one mighty oak tree a whole forest can grow!
A whole forest is inside a single acorn.
And the Bible says because of Jesus all the riches of God-all of heavens vast resources, all the power in the universe-have come to live inside of you.

Praying for all that inside of you , because of Gods great purposes, will be planted and bear much fruit in this conference.
