Is God Stirring Up Hearts?

October 19, 2026 by Joel Potter

It’s God’s work, stirring up hearts. And when He does, the results are extraordinary!

Our blog today, is a collection of posts we shared in our Facebook group over the past week. If you missed them there we hope you connect with something here in this digest.

Magnifying God’s Faithfulness

Bible translation ministry

Over the course of decades, a family faithfully worked away when it came to seeing a church established among a people group in Southeast Asia.

And part of that was the unexpected journey they took when it came to translating the Bible. The wife almost lost her life along the way, and the husband did in fact succumb to cancer shortly after the Bible translation was completed and dedicated.

But through those extremes, what was clear was how God was magnifying His faithfulness through their lives.

When a hard drive’s worth of media landed on Joel’s desk, he excitedly jumped into crafting it into a story.

It embodies what we’re all about when it comes to serving on our mission’s communications team. We get to put the magnifying glass on God’s faithfulness and point people to how amazing He is through storytelling like this.

Progress Toward Our Fundraising Goals

No movement to report…yet.

As we opened with, when the Lord stirs the hearts of people toward His work, the results are exceedingly abundant.

I was reading this morning about how, when God asked the Israelites to give toward the needs of the Tabernacle project, they actually had to be asked to stop giving because they were so stirred up by the Lord.

Three Prayer Requests

  1. Please take a few minutes to intentionally pray and ask the Lord to stir up the hearts of the people He wants to come alongside us in our ministry.
  2. In a little over two weeks from today, Bethany and I leave for the Asia Pacific Conference and will need to quickly get up to speed with our responsibilities. Please pray for good health leading up to this trip.
  3. Pray with us about the three billion people who are still waiting to hear about the God who loves them in their heart language.
