Earlier this year, the Ethnos360 Home Office team all moved from the office spaces we’d all occupied since 1978 into new space, a mile deeper into downtown Sanford. To move a huge team of 200+ support personnel into new offices is huge, but we one-upped that!  Our Communications and Marketing team led our organization through […]

It’s gonna take all of us!

It’s gonna take all of us!

February 16, 2015

It's normal human behavior to face need and try to work all the harder to meet it out of your own strength. But all the more it's going take a team 'cause none of us are capable for this task, on our own.

Why Did I Leave My Family For 10 Days?

November 26, 2014

We’ve found God to be the faithful father that His Word portrays him to be all through our lives. And this past ten days He’s again proved that and gone above and beyond on my family’s behalf and on behalf of His Church, the Body of Christ as that church – ALL AROUND THE WORLD […]

we don’t get “paid” Did you realize that even though we live in a house we own and work in an office much like what many of you work in, we don’t get paid? Well, we don’t get paid by New Tribes Mission at least. We get “paid” by faithful and generous people and a […]

Take a look at it on the blog OR you can listen to it. Listening is a super-simple way to keep up with us when you can't read. Like while you're taking the kids to school or walking your pup.

You can find links to LISTEN or READ at my profile site.

To “tend a loved one in decline” - part 2 The To “tend a loved one in decline” - part 2

The beautiful thing is how the light breaks through the fog. If the responsibility, the challenges, the emotional heaviness is the fog, the grace of the gracious high-priest, Jesus, is that light that for now makes the fog glow with incredible beauty and will one day burn off the fog.

And for now, the wise words of Douglas McKelvey are a comfort:

“Love is wearying in this way, and even we who deeply love the ones we serve, need grace upon grace upon grace lest we despair. For in our giving, we are ever drained and so often depleted. We long for what we are too long without: respite and refreshment. So be our rest, O Christ, when there is no other rest to find.”
