Overdue fines?

Overdue fines?

February 26, 2022

You may not have heard much from us but we’re still here and going. How about we catch you up? If you haven’t caught any of our recent updates in our Ministry Group on Facebook, it looks like we dropped off the map. But that’s not the case. We’ve stayed busy as ever. August 2021-December […]

What is Ethnos360?

March 17, 2020

A few Sundays ago, in our church service, our pastor did a Bible quiz game-show type thing. To make it more interesting, the participants were playing for money; actually, donations to one of the ministries our church sponsors. There were several that I would say most of our church recognized and then there was this […]

After we settled back into a summer routine following the trip west, Joel hit the ground running! He’s preparing to spend time with some of our overseas-based missionaries as they start their furloughs. He and his intern will spend a week in central Pennsylvania towards the end of this month encouraging them in the area […]

After 4,000 miles what could possibly be next?

The great western road trip was AWESOME! Between the privilege of seeing, from the ground, the incredible country we’re privileged to live in and all of the people we were able to connect with we were really encouraged. After the trip west, in which we drove from central Florida to central California and back, we settled […]

What’s the Lord’s Supper look like for a tribal church?

October 27, 2017

We know that what it looks like now for us in the developed world looks way different than it did when Jesus instituted it. So it’s inevitable that it looks ‘local’ for the Church in the Simbari people group. This video shows you how different and yet, the joy of communion is evident! The Blood […]

The Speed of Life

Earlier this year, the Ethnos360 Home Office team all moved from the office spaces we’d all occupied since 1978 into new space, a mile deeper into downtown Sanford. To move a huge team of 200+ support personnel into new offices is huge, but we one-upped that!  Our Communications and Marketing team led our organization through […]

Can we say Thank You?!

Can we say Thank You?!

[joel and bethany potter] If you’re praying for us, YOU are getting behind what we’re doing and asking our God to be glorified in our lives and through our work. If you’re giving to us, YOU are using God’s resources to back God’s work through us. If you’re talking about and sharing the stories we’re […]

Snorkeling or Suffocating (Guest Post)

June 23, 2017

This is a guest post by Matt and Karissa Long. The difference between the two is just a little plastic tube.  Recently I (Karissa) got the opportunity to go snorkeling in the ocean.  I got to see beautiful coral reefs and fish I’d only seen in aquariums.  It was an experience, but I can’t say […]

We’re at one of my favorite places in the USA th We’re at one of my favorite places in the USA this week… @ethnos360 Training near the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
After two decades of living together in a life bui After two decades of living together in a life built on something we believe will last, I’m grateful for who you are to me, today, Bethany.

I could post pictures of our wedding day or talk about how much simpler things were then, but what I’m grateful for is what’s right now. We’ve been blessed to be built up into something that has permanence even while we increasingly see agonizing splits between relationships around us or near us.

Some days I wish for us in our early days, living that simple life fueled by youth and passion, but we were meant for more than just twenty years of that.

So, on our 20th anniversary, my choice of a moment to remember is one of my favorite pictures of us, taken while we were in Thailand, so tired from working and with stress on many fronts whispering in our ears. This is life right now and yet in the middle of it, our awesome God who brings beauty in the middle of ashes, brings you and me the chance to see beauty in each other every day.

I love you.
