Fun Foto Friday #50

This time, I have a good reason for posting a Fun Foto Friday on a Saturday (again).

Today’s my birthday! Or, as Judah claims, our shared birthday (“Mama, please share your birthday?”). Okay, fine. He got a piece of my cake. There.

I’m now 29 years old… as a friend on Facebook put it, “the age that most women will claim for the rest of their lives.”

Here are some pictures to document how this AnFam celebrated 29 years of life:

The most wonderful gift came 2 days before my birthday: my brand-new baby nephew Ben was born!!! Baby Ben is our first nephew/cousin on my side of the family, and we just can’t wait to meet this little bundle of cuteness this summer! Judah has been praying for Baby Ben at every meal time ever since he was born :).

 

This birthday morning started off with a delicious breakfast made by Chef John:

I got a drawing from the boys and a letter from my hubby:

We made a birthday cake…

…and Judah helped, of course!

John took me out on a surprise coffee-and-shopping date:

Because we shared my birthday with the boys, we got them a little present, too:

Here’s the hilarious part: Elias ended up sitting on two of his markers, and as we picked him up, he had this huge stain on his bottom…

… and what do these colors remind you of, all you football fans?!? SEAHAWKS! Who happen to play in the SUPERBOWL tomorrow! If that isn’t a divine sign that they’re going to win, I don’t know what would be… 🙂

On to more birthday fun! Our dear neighbor brought over some birthday flowers:

And my sweet Mama sent me this enormous and beautiful bouquet of flowers, as she has every year for my birthday since moving to the U.S :). I love getting flowers!

And the day ended with book time with my boys:

AAAAAAAAAAND to top it all off, we got a call from our dearest friends from missionary training (who now live in Virginia), telling us the news that they’ve decided to go to Tanzania as well! At the same time we are! We couldn’t be more excited!!! And these two cuties will be united again 🙂
