While traveling in the US this past year, Lance put in 100 hours of translation work on Exodus. That’s not a whole lot but in between the 22,000 miles we traveled, he was glad to find the time to get that much done.
Now though, the priority is getting lesson materials for 1 Corinthians completed. He had two sessions with the language assistants this past week. That went very well!
Please pray with us for our language helpers that God would give them the discernment they need to do their job.
Now, about those visits! Here are just a few.
Pogong is one of the Bible teachers in a village quite some distance from here. Since he was diagnosed with TB, he has been living here, faithfully taking his medications while others minister in his place. We had a nice visit with him the other day.
He said, "I so badly want to return to my ministry, but I know I need rest and continue my medication for a while yet." Please pray for Pogong and his family.
Tadha is one of the deacons; he also stopped by for a visit the other day. We had heard he’d been bitten by a poisonous snake a few days earlier, so we asked him how he was doing.
He showed us the affected area and we were praising the Lord that he is ok and doesn’t have any ill effects from it.
Finally, we were recently able to visit with Robert & Ean over the internet! It was so good to hear their voices and we got to sing Ean a song! We praise the Lord for the technology that allows us to communicate! Thank you for praying for our children and grandchildren.
Thank you again for your partnership with us in this ministry.
Secure in Christ’s wonderful love,
Lance & Laura
