Dwight Sharp drove his wife, Ginny, up the mountain road in their 4-wheel drive on Monday; got as close as possible to the village and hiked in the rest of the way.
We’ve had a lot of rain lately and Ginny, our translation consultant, said that if it hadn’t been for holding Dwight’s hand, she would have spent most of her time on the ground as they hiked down the slippery trail. We were so glad to see them get here safely.
We started checking Mark on Tuesday, working from 8am until 5pm with our language helpers.
Thursday, for most Americans, means Turkey and all the trimmings. For us today, it meant finishing the book of Mark. Many of you have been praying and we thank you for that.
We start checking Matthew tomorrow and when that is done, we’ll have Luke to finish. That will have to wait for the New Year since we’re not ready for Ginny to check it.
Praise the Lord with us for allowing Laura to be feeling much better as the checking started. Please continue to pray for me as my overall health is still not 100%.
Thanks for your continual prayers!
