Six weeks ago we asked you to pray for us as we started proofreading the Higaunon New Testament.
The example below is a bit extreme perhaps, but shows that it’s easy to read over a mistake without realizing it.
"i cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. … it dseno’t mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae…. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!"
Spelling IS important and we want the finished product to glorify God.
Twenty-five years ago on August 28 we moved into this village. It has taken all that time, working together as a team to complete the Higaunon New Testament. The Higaunon believers think it has been worth the time and effort and are excited to have the scriptures in their own language.
Please pray as we look to the Lord for where to have the New Testament printed. Also pray that the Higaunon church will continue to be faithful to follow the truths of God’s word.
Thank you for praying. Thank you for being a part of the team!
