Your prayers are being answered!
It’s hard to believe we’ve been in the US mainland for over a week now. You may ask our reaction to how things have gone so far: in a word, “WOW!!”
We asked you to pray for God’s leading for a vehicle for us. Last Sunday we walked into the “wrong” Sunday school class. We knew that the teacher had changed since last time we were home so we sat down as it was time for class to begin. We realized that we didn’t recognize anyone from our class 2 years ago! It wasn’t until later that we were reminded there was an extra service now and hence different “Life Group” classes. The teacher recognized us and after introducing us to the class, asked for prayer requests. He knew that our immediate prayer request for was for a vehicle and mentioned it to the class. After class a gentleman came up to us to say that he had a vehicle we could use! What a provision of the LORD this vehicle is. Praise God with us! Our sending church in Florida had the mission team that came to minister to us and our NTM coworkers in January share testimonies of their time in the Philippines on Sunday evening. Then, we had opportunity to give a report of God’s work amongst the Higaunon. The church “honored” us with a plaque and a beautiful bouquet of flowers for our 28 years in the Philippines. We were prayed for as we were surrounded by many of the congregation. Words are not adequate to describe how loved and appreciated we felt. Thanks to all for praying for us. We had great weather and safe travels. We’ve arrived at Nicole & Justin’s and plan to have some weeks of grand-parenting time with Olivia, Jacob and the new baby who is due soon. Once again we’d appreciate your prayers for Nicole and the baby. Nicole has had a bad cough for a week or more now and we all pray she’ll be over it before the baby is born. Jacob also has a very bad cough – please pray for healing! Pray for us as we try to get an itinerary planned! We hope to get around to see as many of our prayer and financial partners as we can, as well as seeing family that is scattered all over the US! At this point in seems “impossible” to get done before we return to the Philippines – yet we know with our God all things are possible. And as you pray for us, please continue to pray for the Higaunon church. Secure in Christ’s Love, Lance & Laura |
