Hallelujah!!

December 13, 2013 by Lance and Laura Ostman

Merry Christmas from us to you!

Greetings in that most precious Name above all names! Jesus! The One whose birth we celebrate.

And the angel said unto them, “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10,11

What a wonderful time of year this is and yet for some, a painful time. It’s a time of making memories and yet for some, a time of remembering things they wished they didn’t remember. Whatever hardship people might be going through, and no matter what time of year it is, Christians everywhere can say “Hallelujah!” Whether in the midst of painful trials or in the midst of making wonderful memories, God is on His throne and He rules over all. We may not understand what He’s doing but, praise God, we know that He does all things well! The fact that He sent His Son to come to earth to make that great exchange, our sin for His righteousness is simply amazing! Hallelujah indeed!

We are looking forward to traveling, Lord willing, to Oklahoma to visit Robert and Ean over Christmas. We also plan see some of Laura’s family in Texas. When we return to Florida, we’ll have just 6 weeks before we leave for the Philippines. Yikes! Time is going by quickly.Thank you in advance for praying for us as we travel.

Lance continues to work on 2 Kings and should be done with that before our trip. We appreciate your prayers for us in this endeavor! To all those who are wondering, Lance says, “I love my job! It’s a lot of work putting God’s Word into another language but it brings me great joy!” We really need your prayers for the translation project.

Thank you for your part in this ministry.

Merry Christmas and Hallelujah!

Lance & Laura

PS: Unless God shows us something different soon, we plan to pay another visit to see our kids since we’ll be on that side of the world anyway. Please pray for all that is involved in that. There have been some changes in the visa application process which means we need to get tickets before we apply for visas.
