Psalm 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
At home in Oklahoma. We’ve been living here in South East Oklahoma for about three weeks now. It’s been quite cold, but people tell us that’s unusual for here this time of year. Last Sunday night we even had snow!
We’re very thankful for the house we’ve been invited to live in. We’re also thankful for the wood-burning stove that keeps a portion of the house nice and warm! We thank God for the friends who have blessed us by letting us live here for a few months.
Time with our grandson. We’ve had one weekend with our grandson Ean, and it went well; we’re hoping for more such times so we can build our relationship with him. Please pray that we’ll have quality times together. Ean has his own website, www.thrueanseyes.com, to showcase the paintings he has begun to create as part of his behavioral therapy for autism. We’re proud to see him becoming an artist in his own right.
Progress in translating Isaiah. Lance continues to make good progress on the initial translation of Isaiah; he’s currently in chapter 59. Thank you for praying for him. Sometimes the verses and concepts are particularly challenging to effectively translate into the Higaunon language.
Report from the village. We heard from our coworkers Ron & Michelle Jennings, who talked to Sona, one of the village church leaders. Things are going well with the church, praise the Lord! Thank you for your continued prayers for the Higaunon church leadership, as well as outreaches that are being planned to places in their area where the Gospel is still needed.
God is our pilot. We really miss Florida: our friends, our sending church, and certainly the warmer temperatures. But we’re confident that God has led us to Oklahoma. Thank you for lifting us up in prayer—and for each of you who partner with us financially. We are extremely grateful!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Lance & Laura
