Biannual Seminar. It’s a very quiet week here in the village. Most people are either at their farms or at the biannual seminar that is in a neighboring village. At the seminar, the church leaders are discussing church planting strategy. Before they left, they showed us a map of where they are in relation to other ministries and possible future locations for church planting. Lance is planning on joining them on Friday so he’ll be gone most of the day. Please pray for safety as he travels there and back.
Checking translation. Thank you for praying for Lance’s work on Isaiah! Praise the Lord, he and his translation assistant completed checking the rough draft of both Isaiah and Malachi. All scripture goes through a process of checking, checking and rechecking. Please pray for a good finished translation.
Ron & Michelle. Our co-workers arrived back safely in the country the other day from their home assignment in Australia. Since the pilot is away they can’t get in here quickly but they’re busy getting things together for their arrival later this month. Once they arrive in the village, we will only have a few days together! Please pray for them as they settle back into village life.
SYIS workshop. As many of you know, for several years now, we have been involved with SYIS = “Sharpening Your Interpersonal
Skills.” There’s a lot we could say here about SYIS but instead of that, please click here to learn more about this important aspect of our ministry.
The workshop is scheduled for June 7-12 in Manila. Please pray:
• for us as we continue preparing for the workshop.
• for at least 4 more participants to register.
• for prepared hearts – ours and the participants.
If you would like to donate to help defray the costs of the workshop, let us know and we can tell you how you can do that.
Direction. When the workshop is over we’ll have a few weeks left before we return to the US. Other than a few days of getting some medical procedures done, we’re not sure what to do with our time. Please pray for God to direct our steps, however He wants to use us.
Thank you for praying for us and for the Higaunon. They especially wanted to say thank you for praying for the prayer requests in our recent “Survey Team Report.”
Secure in Christ’s love,
Lance & Laura
