Prayer and Thanksgiving

Our thoughts are expressed well in what Paul said in Colossians 4:2-3a “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us…”

Arizona Trip: In our last update we asked for prayer as we went with a team from our church to Arizona to help with a church plant. Thank you so much for praying! We saw “God-appointments” where we got to minister to and pray with some hurting people. We ask that you continue to pray with us for the area where a new church plant is on-going. There are so many people there who need the Lord!

Family Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving 2017 is behind us. What a wonderful time we had with family here in our home here in Oklahoma! Our daughter, son-in-law and three children were able to drive down from Central New York and spent a week with us. Our son, on vacation from teaching school, and his son, were also able to be with us during the days and evenings. We are so grateful to God for allowing us this time together!

Though we are always thankful for those who partner with us through prayer and financial giving, we want to say again how much YOU mean to us! We could not do what we do for the Higaunon without you. We know our brothers and sisters there are also THANKFUL for you. On this Giving Tuesday, if you have any questions about partnering with us, please reply to this email.

Translation: The translation of 1 Chronicles continues…slow progress is still progress; Lance is almost done with the book! Imagine trying to translate meaning for a language which has no words for what is in Scripture…you may have some idea of how HARD this work is. Thank you for praying for wisdom!

Surgery update: Lance continues to see his urologist for check-ups since his September surgery. The doctor feels confident that these regular visits should be coming to an end. Thank you so much for praying for Lance’s recovery.

Adoption: Thank you for praying for our daughter and son in law as they proceed in the adoption process of 4 year old David. We are grateful for each one who is praying and giving towards the adoption. Click here to read their story.
