watching and waiting

February 6, 2007 by

Sunny days are an answer to prayer! In our update the other day we asked prayer for dry weather. Praise God with us for 2 sunny days. Please pray that this weather pattern continues for the rest of this week and into next.

Some have written asking about the load we’ll be carrying into the village. We’ll each have a backpack. Our supplies will come on the plane early next week. Pray that conditions will be ok for that to happen.

If the mountain truck leaves on schedule, we’ll be heading inland at 6am Friday morning. Barring any breakdowns, we should start hiking about 2 hours later.

The villagers are not expecting us and we’re wondering what we’ll find when we arrive. That makes us think about ourselves and the imminent return of Christ.  Will He find us faithful when He returns?

An email came from Justin and Nicole this morning. They are at ABWE candidate class this week as part of their preparation for heading to the mission field. Though tired, they are having a wonderful time. Please pray for them as they look to the Lord for their future.

Thank you so much for your partnership with us in this ministry!

Secure in His love,

Lance & Laura

Laura with Ean in the Park - we had a LOT of fun!
Before we left, we had a great time with Ean.

We took a much needed rest upon our arrival in the country!
We had a much needed break during our first week back in the country.

Just another normal day on the road!
We couldn’t resist adding this photo!
