We ended up having a rather busy month of June. Largely, because we moved a couple houses down the street. This was due to the contract situation with the old house and the fact that our new house was vacated at the end of June. It took some work, but I think it’s a good thing. This house is a little bigger and we have a nice backyard… but we can’t get too excited about this house, knowing that we expect to move to another region at the end of the year.
We are continuing our language sessions, and the backyard gives the kids a place to play while we work on that. That has been really nice to have. We are both around the halfway point through Stage 2 of our language curriculum. This is designed to get us to or help us work through the proficiency level ‘Progressing’ (next is capable). We can say some things, but there is still a lot (most) of language that’s beyond our grasp. So things are progressing.
The kids will start school again in about a month. In the meantime, they are continuing their sort of twice-weekly language classes. They’ve been having a blast together this summer, but I think they’ll be pretty happy to go back to school next month.
Praise:
-to be in a house with a little more space
-for 9 years of marriage as of July 8th
Prayer:
-perseverance with language; it’s not usually very exciting, and we just have to keep working on it
-wisdom in choosing a region to serve in
Thanks!
