>Hi and welcome to our site. Please check out our specific prayer points under the link – We need people to reach people.
Also feel free to check out the other links which shares a bit more info on our work in Papua New Guinea.
It is a pleasure for me to share that God has been good and provided for us to arrive savely in Sobega, the Mission base from which we will operate. We did have some struggles with our flight to PNG. Here is some photos that tell the story….
Here I am sending a few mails just to let know that we have arived savely in Dubai. at this stage I did not yet know any flights were delayed and I believed all things were on target! Little did I now that we would leave late and even also be delayed in Bangkok.
Marie is reading a magazine on the Hong Kong airport carpet. We have just arrived and heard we have missed our flight to New Guinea. We are waiting for the Emirates agents to help us, but this never happened. We were eventually forced to spend the night on the airport and sleep on the carpet.
Here we are sitting and having breakfast the day after we arrived at Hong Kong airport. We shared a muffin and coffee from Starbucks, the only place selling something to eat. We also just heard that we will have to saty 2 weeks on in the airport on the carpet. Furthermore we have been struggling with the chineese people who dont understand us. We had to fly on our own costs to the Philipines were we stayed in Manila.

Marlou smiling for we are just about to leave Hong Kong airport to go to Manila. We had to move to Manila in order to have a place to stay for two weeks. We stayed in the NTM guest house and spend some lovely time with the christians there.
Marlou is still smiling because we are standing in Japan for the first time in our lives. We are also smiling beacause we are going to be on time for our flight to Papua. Siama, our flight agent organised tickets for us out tof Manila to Tokya and then to New Guinea and this was all on very short notice.
Why is Marie smiling. We are in Japan at the Air New Guinea desk, and just got our tickets rebooked to New Guinea. We are leaving in 2 hours time!!!!
Another meal on the floor, but this time with a smile! Why, for we will be leaving in an hours time to Papua! At this stage we have been traveling for about 4 days and only had 8 hours of good sleep.
Naomi just had enough of it all and could not keep her eyes open on the last flight from Tokyo to Port Moresby. Just check the earphones still on her head!
At last we arrived in Goroka, our final destination. Here we were picked up by a friend who took us to the mission base.
So there you have it, we are all save and at home. Thank the Lord with us that He is good and that He kept us all save. We are curently still taking things slow and getting to know the people and the base in Papua New Guinea, at Sobega. We will be living at sobega base while we learn Pidgen and prepare to be located in a buch location. Pray with us that the Lord will prepare us for that and that He will make it easy for us to grasp the nationall language.
I will soon send some photos of our house and of the base.
God bless.
