>Hi
Thanks for popping in and please remember to check out the other links on this page. We have a few prayer points and a photo album with much more photos! Also you can get some info on our work here in Papua New Guinea.
We recently had the opportunity to go on a little second honey moon due to the fact that we were married 10 years on 13 December. It was a lovely time and we went to Medang, which is a coastal town in PNG.
Our first few nights we stayed at Jays Aben resort and were absolutely blessed by the naturall beauty of the surrounding area.
We also had the opportunity to go to one of the nearby islands for a day and we really enjoyed the snorkeling. I spend most of the day in the water and when Marie was not in the water she was relaxing while reading one of her favourite books.
Here’s Lourens waiting for the bout to leave.
Marie ready to snorkel.
The view from our private island.
We also had the opportunity to spend a night at Medang resort just before we returned home. This was also great and we treated ourselves to some good food and a great view.
Thanks to all of you who made it possible for us to go! This has been a special blessing that we never expected.
Christmas was a great time with our friends even though we missed and longed to be with our family in SA! Our coworkers Simon and Annika made it things easier for us by enjoying Christmas with us and we had a blessed time of fellowship and encouragement!
We are looking forward to a great year. Full of new challenges! We will be leaving for a month to a buch location and will return in February. when we return we will give you a detailed report of what will be waiting for us in 2008!
Thank you very much for your prayers and letters of encouragement. Every day we understand even more the need for continual prayer support. As we face these people and the situation they are in we realize than only God can make a difference, through the working of his Spirit!
Therefore pray with us for miracles!
Thanks for giving, writing and praying, may God richly bless you!
And as the Papuan’s would say:
‘lukim ju sampla taim‘
Most People are brought to faith in Christ, not by argument for it,
But by exposure to it.
