>Hi
Thanks for popping in and please remember to check out the other links on this page. We have a few prayer points and a photo album with much more photos! Also you can get some info on our work here in Papua New Guinea.
Our house was very comfortable insaid and we had enough space to be able to hoeschool the kids and spend time indoors when it rained. Here is a picture of Marie taking a snooz under teh mosquito net.
Here is a few more pictures of the area. As you can see it is really beatifull and we really enjoyd being able to hike around and apreciate the beaty!
The people are still very isolated here in anakombi where we visited and here is a picture of a lady still wearing a pull pull as skirt and a bark cape over her head.
This lady is smoking one of their tradiotionall pipes. What we also noticed is the animistic way of thinking that is still part of their world view! They are very much afraid of witch craft and are continually trying to pacify the spirits.
We had lots of oppertunity to hike around and visit the people. Here is a few pictures of us on one of our hikes.
i also had oppertunity to enjoy the water coming from the mountains. Even though it was cold it was wonderfully refreshing after a days walk!
We had good oppertunity to learn from the missionaries and we also had oppertunity to spend some time with the believers. Here we are witnessing some new believers being baptised.
it is really going well with the kids and they had a wonderfull time as well in the bush. We had teh oppertunity of celebrating Madeleens birthday. She turned 8! Here she is smailing.
The rest of our kids are also fine, and Marie had a wonderfull time homeschooling them! Here we have a few pictures of them.
Thank you very much for your prayers and letters of encouragement. Every day we understand even more the need for continual prayer support. As we face these people and the situation they are in we realize than only God can make a difference, through the working of his Spirit!
Therefore pray with us for miracles!
Thanks for giving, writing and praying, may God richly bless you!
And as the Papuan’s would say:
‘lukim ju sampla taim’
Most People are brought to faith in Christ, not by argument for it,
But by exposure to it.
