She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.
Matthew 1:21, NCV
One of Naomi’s memory verses this month is Matthew 1:21, and it has been such a blessing to repeat daily: “He will save His people from their sins.” We have a HUGE praise to share. Naomi asked to pray the other day, and she prayed, “Jesus, please save me. Please take away my sins. I love you.” We were overjoyed to hear such a simple, beautiful prayer from her. She has expressed a true understanding about sin, Jesus, heaven, and God over the past few days. We really believe that she understands salvation and is now a member of God’s family! Truly the best Christmas gift we could ever hope to receive as parents. Pray that we can disciple her well and that she will grow in her knowledge of God.
We know that God used her memory verses to truly change her heart and help her understand salvation. Hebrews 4:12 says that the Word of God is LIVING and ACTIVE and sharper than any double-edged sword. More than ever, we are burdened for those who do not have the Word of God in their language. While many of us will enjoy reading the Christmas story from Luke this season, those who remain unreached have no knowledge of a Savior who came as the LIVING WORD to take away their sins. Let us remain in prayer and continue to ask God what role we can play to reach the unreached.
We have many praises! We had an amazing missions’ luncheon at Riverside Community Church on December 1. The fellowship and encouragement was such a blessing to us. Then, on December 8, we had the opportunity to share about our ministry at Beaumont Bible Church. We are so thankful for the churches and individuals who have hosted us and ministered to us.
Please pray for new ministry partnerships and that we reach our financial support goal. We are praying for more monthly financial partnerships so that we can leave for our ministry at the Missionary Training Center. We may be in Pennsylvania for another month or two past January to continue in Ministry Partnership Development. Next month, we will let you all know for sure what our moving plans are.
In January, we will be sharing at Grace Baptist Church in Gilbertsville, we will visit the Ethnos360 Home Office in Sanford, Florida, and we will continue to diligently seek ministry partnerships. We’ll be making a lot of decisions in January so please pray for wisdom for us. We pray that you all have a great Christmas celebrating God’s perfect plan of salvation. Merry Christmas from the Borios!
