Our little blessing!Just an update… Our first visa interview didn’t happen, but the rescheduled visa interview happened today! It went well, however sometimes the US Embassy puts their cases on “administrative review” for a while to find out more info. They usually don’t give their reasons why. This is the case with our adoption. Friends of ours had this happen and it has been happening quite frequently with adoptions in this country since the country suspended adoptions around when we were there (I think I explained this in an earlier post). Anyway our friend’s son’s visa was printed two weeks later. We are hopeful that will be the case for us and the time isn’t drawn out further. It is hard to see the leaves change color falling and know that our daughter won’t get to experience that this year. However, “our times are in His hands”. God has a perfect plan for this, we can have peace that He is up to something good! We also can be excited by the fact that there is NOTHING left to do on our adoption before our daughter comes home. Next, we’ll be contacted by the US Embassy (probably when we least expect it) to have our power of attorney pick up her visa and HURRAY!!!… we’ll jump on a plane bound for Africa!! Looking back, it is amazing that we are here. Praise the Lord!
Praying for you through the wait. Trust is hard, but God is good!
Hoping for a quick resolution. We’re anxious to meet our new Great granddaughter.
That’s just awesome guys, she’ll be able to experience the snow for the first time.
