As missionaries living at our NTM’s PNG headquarters, we often have opportunities to visit with bush missionaries who are out for medical needs, meetings, schooling, and breaks.
Recently we were able to catch up with Jason and Nisae Williamson. They work among the Tobo people. Over the past few years the missionary team has worked to learn the Tobo language & culture. Creation to Christ Bible lessons were presented and a small group of Tobo people accepted Christ’s payment for their sins. Sadly, many decided to reject the light they were exposed to. Just a few weeks ago Jason, Nisae, and several Tobo Believers started a new outreach in another Tobo village about 30 minutes away. Jason and Nisae are very encouraged by this small group who wants to hear the Bible lessons. Please pray for clear understanding and that the Holy Spirit would move in the hearts of those attending.
God is also doing amazing things amongst the Akolet people. Early last month missionaries Adam & Julie Martin and Ryan & Sarah Warner began the first Creation to Christ Bible lessons. Recently the Akolet heard about the results of Adam & Eve’s sin in the garden and God’s promise to send a Deliver to crush Satan. Two Akolet, Kotme and Dina, both said eagerly, “This was such a big lesson! We know God’s going to send a Rescuer now. We just have to keep coming and hearing more!” Just imagine how excited they will be when they hear that Jesus our Deliver has come!! Please join us in prayer for the salvation of the Akolet people!
Few Laborers Make for Many Hats
Besides our normal ministries at the hangar, we also have many other chances to serve here. The opportunities always seem to outnumber the amount of time and energy we have. I’m sure you can relate. J Please join us in prayer for wisdom and discernment as we schedule out our time.
Here are few prayer requests regarding some of the extra activities we are involved in:
- Children’s Church Teachers – Pray for our teaching team as we have the tremendous responsibility of imparting God’s truths to these young MKs (missionary kids). NTMA Committee – Paul is part of our aviation committee here in PNG. Please pray for them as they make decisions and seek the Lord for direction.
- Care Team – We are both part of a team that works to foster fellowship amongst our multi-cultural missionary families here. Please pray for unity!
- Speaking/teaching – From time to time Paul is asked to teach a class out at the Interface campus or speak in our Sunday morning church service. This is an awesome responsibility for Paul and he sure would appreciate your prayers!
- Encouraging our bush missionaries – just like you all encourage and support us, we try to do what we can to encourage our friends serving in isolated tribal locations. This might be something as simple as having them over for a meal or could even involve flying out to visit them. Please pray that we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in this matter.
We wanted to share a little bit of what life is like here – not to boast in self but to boast in the Lord; not to brag but to seek your prayers. We hope you can relate to this as we are all called to encourage each other and to be a light for Christ wherever we are. And please pass along any prayer requests for your extra activities. We would love to pray for them!
