In our last update we asked prayer for several items. Look how God provided:
- Paul’s trip to Arizona. Paul and Phoebe were able to fly out to McNeal, Arizona and collect our items that we had stored there. Phoebe enjoyed reconnecting with some friends IRL. We are happy to report that all their flying, Uber-ing and U-hauling was successful!
- Wilson Family 2026 Road Trip #2. After spending 2 months in Maryland (homeschooling, some doctors appointments and visiting with friends at our sending church) we headed up to Michigan via Pennsylvania. While in Michigan we were able to spend some great time with friends from Skiff Lake Bible Church. Then we headed to Waukesha, WI where Ethnos360 has their Bible College. Andrea graduated here in 2000 and has never been back! It was great to see not only fellow co-workers but also so many MKs (missionary kids) from PNG. Phoebe was even able to sit in on some classes. After more visiting in Minnesota, we headed back to the MD area but first got to spend some time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It has been over 5 years since we last saw such beautiful fall colors! (PNG has 2 season – rainy and dry).

- Alongside. During this road trip we spent 3 weeks at a “Renewal and Growth Retreat” put on by Alongside. Their campus is located near Kalamazoo, MI and we are so thankful that all four of us were able to participate. We would highly recommend their programs. Check them out at: https://www.alongsidecares.net/ We thank God for the healing and hope that He provided through our time there.
- In the middle of all this, Paul was dealing with changing his work permit for PNG. (This was necessary due to his changing ministry roles.) Do you know where your high school diploma is? How about how to do a background check? Paul got the joy of working on those items. We are pleased to say that he now has his new electronic work permit and is good to go for when we return to PNG.
One more prayer request:
We also asked prayer for our support level. It has been neat to see the Lord provide for the major expenses we have had since leaving PNG in June. We are now settled back near the southern Maryland area and have to once again get an extended stay rental. Additionally, we are now spending lots of time at the dentist and eye doctors. 😊 Andrea just got the news that she has “earned” two crowns. For some reason, she isn’t very excited about this despite biblical references.
Not every mission organization handle finances the same. For Ethnos360, we solely rely on funds donated to our ministry by people like you and have monthly recommended support levels based on our living expenses (including medical insurance, rent, food), ministry expenses, retirement and saving for future expenses. We are currently just under 60%. That would normally be too low, but we are also supplementing that with inheritance funds we are receiving from Paul’s brother’s retirements/pensions. We thank the Lord for His provisions! Would you please pray with us that there will be an increase in our monthly support and one-time gifts to cover some of the bigger medical expenses we have coming up?

Thankful for:
- Safe trip to Arizona and the Midwest. It was great to see so many of you!!!
- An encouraging and healing time for all at Alongside.
- Paul’s new hi-tech PNG work permit!
Praying for:
- An increase in our monthly support and funds to help with one-time medical expenses.
- Another short road trip south at the end of October.
- Fifteen years ago, the Kuyu people started writing letters, asking someone to come and teach them “God’s talk.” Lord willing, on November 30th they will finally begin hearing God’s story in their own language through 61 progressive Bible lessons that take them from Creation all the way to Christ.
