We sure do appreciate all those who reached out and have been praying for us as Paul settles into a new ministry here in Papua New Guinea all while working through the grief of his previous ministry. As a vital assistant to our center manager, no two days look the same for him. One day he might find himself unloading 500 Kgs of a thawing meat delivery for our store. The next he is needed on a work project helping get one of our center homes livable again. In between meetings, interacting with our center workers and being on call for various emergencies, his days are very full. While this is not our plan, we are glad that we can be used in whatever way God chooses.
Andrea is busy teaching two science classes in our mission’s school as well as being a parent advisor on the school’s management team. Just recently we got word that the school’s accreditation was renewed for another 6 years! We thank the Lord for this especially in light of our limited staff.

Urgent Need
We also want to point out an urgent need. Our mission’s school, Numonohi Christian Academy (www.ncapng.org) is looking for schoolteachers— right now we have urgent needs for 2026-2027:
– High School Math Teacher
– High School Science Teacher
– Elementary Teacher
– Educational Special Services – Educational Therapist (NILD certified, on-site or remote)
In the US alone, there are roughly 3 million elementary and high school teachers. We’re praying for at least four who feel called to invest their gifts in equipping students to follow Christ, and who want to join a team united around one purpose: seeing a thriving church for every tribe, language, and people of Papua New Guinea. Serving at NCA means discipling students and supporting missionaries by helping their families thrive. One teacher can support the work of many.
Pray. Share. Consider going. Reach out with questions. Andrea tremendously enjoys being a part of NCA. It has been a blessing to have Phoebe and Josh attend and not only know they are getting a quality education but a Christ-centered quality education.

ANOTHER Urgent Need
Wow, we are very needy! We sure are glad we have a great God who wants us to not only cast our cares on Him but also to not worry. He invites us into His rest! We Wilsons have recently decided that we will be taking an early home assignment (HA) this summer and plan to be in the States for 6-7 months. (Side note: Ethnos360 assigns 3 months of HA for every year a missionary is overseas. This is a time for reconnecting with supporters while giving time to do possible medical and/or addressing other family needs).
This is why we are leaving PNG “early.” While we have only been back in PNG for just over 2 years, we are finding that we need to take an early HA to take care of some family needs AND it has been way too long since we have seen many of you. Another pressing matter is that we would like to have a memorial for Paul’s mother, who passed away in 2024. We are looking to call Maryland “home base” but are anticipating several road trips.
With this change brings lots of areas for prayer as we make plans. Would you please join us in praying for these things and if you can help out in any way, please let us know.
- We both leave holes in our ministries here.
- Phoebe & Josh as this is not the easiest transition for them (They have a great group of friends here).
- We are in need of a car for four plus suitcases.
- We are in need of a place to stay in Maryland.
- For wisdom as we map out these months ahead.
Praise & Prayer Requests
- Praise: Thanks for your prayers, support and concern especially over these months of transition.
- Praise: We thank the Lord for our school’s recent 6-year re-accreditation! This is the max duration offered!
- Prayer: Please continue to pray for more missionaries especially school teachers. Most departments are in need and this summer will be our lowest staffing in over a decade.
- Prayer: For our future home assignment. Plans, peace and packing.
