Here at school we have the privilege of hearing from different missionaries serving in a variety of different countries. Just recently the Wild family (Seriously, that’s their last name. Fitting, eh?) came to visit our school and encouraged the students in their pursuit of missions. As one of those students, I am extremely grateful! The Wild family has been state-side since January and will soon be returning to continue their work.
Before they came back last January, The Wild’s took a video of some men in the neighboring tribe. This video captured their plea for missionaries to come to them! In the video below you will hear them telling of how they had some missionaries do survey work and stay with them, this man even preparing a special chicken dinner for them, in anticipation of them staying. With great hope and under the impression that the missionaries were intending to come live among them, their hearts were heavy when the missionaries continued on their journey and didn’t return to their tribe. Aware of their desire for missionaries to live with them, they made this video to share with those of us who have the Gospel and the ability and the resources to go to them.
This is ONE example of the 120+ open invitations that NTM has from differing people groups who do not have the Bible in their mother tongue– these are the people that are categorized as unreached or unengaged. The want and need is there, can you fill it? …Who will? As mentioned earlier, we have the Gospel message, the ability, and the resources to fill the need… now, how about the willingness? Grace and I aren’t enough, join us!
