Well, our news for this newsletter is: our grandbaby is here!! What else is there to talk about, right? We don’t like to brag or anything but I think you’ll agree he is about the cutest little kid you’ve ever seen! We are glad to have Jason & Tiffany here, too, of course, but they aren’t nearly as much fun as Jaxon! We’ve been to the park, fed the ducks and even the alligators, played at Chuckie Cheese, went on a canoe trip down a scenic Florida river, and tomorrow we are headed for the beach. The weather has been beautiful – mostly in the 70s & 80s, so we are thankful for that! The only bad news is that they leave this Saturday!
Since our last letter Phil has been doing much better- just having, a physical and some tests done to make sure he is in good health. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement while he was sick. On the side, and after hours he is building a set of kitchen cabinets for a friend so that will keep him very busy for the next few weeks.
Heather and Cody continue with their college classes. Pray for diligence in their studies. Heather will complete her classes in December before beginning pilot training.
This week starts spring break for Haley & I – Cody and Heather already had theirs so they won’t get to have the fun we will! This is the first time all six of us have been together for a picture for over six years so thought we’d show you the recent family picture with Jason, Tiffany & Jaxon included.
Mission News: The Baga Fore Tribe in Guinea:
A group of Baga Fores began literacy classes on April 1. This is the first opportunity that the Baga Fore people have had to learn how to read and write their own language. That is one of the first steps toward them reading the Word of God for themselves. Please pray that they will persevere in learning these new skills.
We wanted to thank you again for your sacrificial giving, and your prayers on our behalf. This is truly a partnership in reaching the tribes for Christ. We couldn’t do it without you! Please continue to pray for our family and ministry.
Your Missionaries to the Tribes,
Phil & Jackie
