„Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving towards all he has made.“ Psalm 145:13
We are so relieved that it is our LORD who is in charge, his kingdom is everlasting, He is the one who reigns. Even if hard things happen in the world, in the Dinangat church or in our personal lives, still HE is in control and we can relax and be calm in the midst of crazy things going on around us! Lord, you reign!
Dinangat Translation
The book of Revelation is done and ready to get checked!!! Also the first draft of 2nd Corinthians is done but this still needs to be checked with several Dinangat people which will take another few months. This week Ralf started to translate Hebrews! We are very encouraged in how it’s going with the Translation. This is definitely a long and hard process but we are moving forward bit by bit. Please keep praying for wisdom for this enormous task of translating God’s Word!
Dinangat Church
Unfortunately we received hard news last week when Felix, one of our elders called saying that one of our only two Bible teachers fell into adultery. That was very hard for us to hear! A couple days later Ralf, Gary and Jeremiah were able to fly into Dinangat to sit down with the elders and this young man. They had some really good and encouraging talks but still only time will tell whether this man will come out of this trial victoriously or not. Please pray for him and also his wife as they are struggling a lot! Please also pray for the Dinangat church that they would stand firm on the Word of God and not be discouraged in times like these!
Summer in Dinangat
Mimi, Ralf and I will be going to Dinangat for 7 weeks over the summer. We are very excited about going „home“ and have many plans of what we want to do during that time. There is always a lot to do in translation and also Ralf will get together with the elders and Bible Teachers for Bible study and he wants to be a support and encouragement to the church by preaching and personal discipleship. I am planning on getting together with the women for some Bible study as well. Please pray for us that we would be able to be a real encouragement to the Dinangat church during those summer weeks!
Summer in Germany
Rebekka on the other hand has very different summer plans: She will go to Germany for 9 weeks! We are hoping that she will get a head start on all that it entails to live as a German in Germany :)! We are also looking for a summer job for her so she can get some experiences in that area as well. Of course she and her sister are very excited to be together again and they have many plans of what they want to do together during that time!
