Hi, we are Ralf and Elli Schlegel with our 3 daughters Naomi, Rebekka and Mirjam.

We work in Papua New Guinea among the tribe of the Dinangat people.

2002 – Aug.     We came to PNG and lived in M. town learning the trade language Pidgin English

2003 – Jan.     First visit to the Dinangat people

2003 – Mar.   Started building our team houses in the tribe

2003 – Aug.   Moved into the tribe together with our co-workers the Smiths and the Markleys

2003 – Oct.    Started official language- and culture study of the Dinangat people

2007 – Apr.   First literacy class, teaching them to read and write in the mother tongue

2008 – Jan-May   Teaching for the first time chronologically from Creation to Christ

2010 – Jan-May   Believers from the S. village go to teach chronologically from Creation to Christ for the first time in neighboring village T.

2011 – 2012 Discipleship of the believers in S. and T. as we are teaching through the book of Ephesians and 1st Corinthian.

2013 – Mar-Aug   Bible teachers from S. and T. are teaching from Creation to Christ in a small neighboring village nearby T.

Today   We’re praying for open doors for God’s Word in the remaining Dinangat village. In the meantime we continue in discipleship of the believers, development of church leaders and translation of God’s Word into the Dinangat language.
