Thank you for praying for us and supporting us as we work to engage God’s people about language groups of people who have no access to the Gospel. Part of our work involves introducing Christians to the ministries of Ethnos360. We show who we are, what we do, why the work is important, and introduce opportunities to engage along with us.
Knowing precedes going.
A key part of our ministry is in realizing that knowing precedes going.
It’s a fair guess that career missionaries now serving have gone through a process of discovering God’s plan, where the needs are, how they might serve, and what avenues of service are open to them. They were not missionaries before they were. They needed information.
Our work involves helping people to know what they need to know to engage; with God in His work, with people who have no access to the Gospel, and with like-minded people in the Ethnos360 teams.
We engage people through speaking in churches, small groups, or youth gatherings, setting up displays in colleges and Bible Institutes, meeting with pastors and church leaders, talking to people at local events, taking people out to lunch, and following up with people by phone, text and email.
Who are the people of Ethnos360?
The people of Ethnos360 are Christ-followers who have been sent by our own local churches. We have been sent to engage with teams of people who work to establish thriving churches among ethnolinguistic groups of people who have no other access to the Gospel.
We invite local churches to work with us and to send their own people to join Ethnos360 teams.
How can people join us?
A favorite way to engage people is to take them with us to a Wayumi event in central Pennsylvania. People come from all across the country to these events. Nothing better communicates what we have been trying to tell them. They come away with a heart full of wonder at what God is doing and ways they can have a part. There are several options: Wayumi Weekend Retreat, Wayumi Expedition, Wayumi College Course and Wayumi Church Leaders Retreat. wayumi.com
Of course there are a bunch of other ways to engage.
Career – Skilled-Associates – Internships – Interface –
Encounter – Volunteer – Ethnos360 Bible Institute – Ethnos360 Aviation –
Invite A Missionary – Find A Representative
What do we pursue?
A lot of people we meet do not known much of anything about Ethnos360, so we help them discover some things that we pursue:
- Least-Reached Ethnolinguistic People Groups * (People of every language need at least one way to learn about Jesus.)(Revelation 5:9)
- Teamwork * (The diverse gifts Christ gave to various members of His Body are needed and necessary for His work.)(1 Corinthians 12:21)
- Heart Language Communication * (People need to clearly hear God’s message in a language they understand.)(1 Corinthians 14:19)
- Sustainable Literacy* (Reading God’s word is necessary for growth, maturity, and outreach because believers have been commanded to read, study, teach and preach the Word.)(Colossians 4:16)
- Bible Translation* /* (People need to understand, read and share what God has written.)(2 Timothy 4:2)
- Foundational Bible Teaching * (God’s book is one story of His glory from Eternity to Eternity, revealing His person, purpose, plan, people, and processes from Genesis to Revelation.)(Romans 15:4)
- Life-on-life Discipleship * (Teaching people to observe/obey all that Christ commanded involves interaction.)(Matthew 28:20)
- Indigenous Leadership * (Equipping faithful men to teach others also.)(2 Timothy 2:2)
- Thriving Churches (We seek to establish gatherings of Christ-followers who actively glorify God.)(Acts 16:5)
- Continuing Partnership (Indigenous churches have much to offer as part of the Body.)(Ephesians 4:1-13)
- Training (We have much to learn from faithful believers who have preceded us, especially in cross-cultural ministry.)(1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
Who, what, where, why?
For people who don’t know much about Ethnos360’s Purpose, Heritage, Training, Doctrine, Partnerships, and Methodology, we direct them to the Ethnos360 web site.
We also like to invite people to Subscribe to the quarterly Ethnos360 Magazine or to receive prayer requests:

If pictures are worth a thousand words, then videos must better! Some key videos that show the work of Ethnos360 teams are…
- Ee-Taow! The Mouk Story (24 minutes)
- Yembiyembi: Unto the Nations (30 minutes)
- His Gift to … (39 minutes)
Depending on the interest of the people we are talking to, we might direct them to see videos on the Ethnos360 website, youTube, or Vimeo. That way they can also share them with people in their home or church. Sometimes videos impart the vision of what we are talking about better than an hour or two over a lunch.
Thank you!
The older I get the more I realize that none of the people in my life got there by accident. God placed them in my vicinity and they intentionally engaged with me. That’s how I first learned about Jesus. That’s how I got the ten years of training I needed for ministry. That’s how we have continued in ministry for nearly thirty years. Thank you for being God’s vessels to minister to us and to enable us to minister toward reaching those people who have never heard of Jesus.
