What are we doing?
We are working to build the next wave of missionaries who will reach tribes of people who know nothing of Jesus!
Eternity is a long time to be separated from all that is good! That is especially true when the solution to our sin problem, the Good News about Jesus, is so readily available.
On the highest authority in heaven and on earth, Jesus told us to go teach every ethnic group. (Matt. 28:18-20)
We are on the crest of a wave of a generation of missionaries who have reached more unreached people groups with the Gospel than all previous generations combined.
Yet there are still 2500 people groups who have not yet heard the Good News about Jesus. Our goal is to deliver the Gospel to each tribe and equip them to join us as Christ’s ambassadors to the world. Reaching each one will require years of steadfast dedication and sacrifice. They will not hear of God’s glory and His grace through Christ until Christians intentionally train, equip, support and send someone to tell them.
Obstacles which must be overcome include:
- learning an unwritten language,
- deciphering a mysterious culture,
- translating the Bible into a language they understand,
- teaching people to read so that their faith is rooted in God’s Word,
- developing Bible lessons in the tribal language,
- teaching the people who will listen and
- equipping them to teach others.
God has given to this next generation very many tools and resources to reach people in the most remote places on earth! Even 100 years ago many of the resources we consider common were not available to most people.
Today, we have helicopters, aircraft, commercial airlines, boats, outboard motors, jet skis, ships, railroads, trucks, automobiles and bridges to get across some of the most rugged terrain and wide bodies of water. We have a vast array of communications tools and access to pools of knowledge that are unique to our generation. We have knowledge of history and the experience of others from which we can learn to be more effective than ever. We can communicate with experts just about anywhere in the world. We have radios, cell phones, satellite phones, smart phones, computers, internet, email, social media, FaceTime, Skype. GPS has made navigation easy. Discovering and recording mysteries has been enhanced through digital cameras, video cameras in our pockets, tiny audio recording devices, electronic notebooks, linguistic tools and libraries of information about world cultures. Distributing our message has been eased through electronic Bibles, translation software, commentaries, video creation software, television screens, video projectors, web pages and digital distribution. We have creature comforts like medicine, gas stoves, heating, hot water, automatic water pumps, PVC plumbing, refrigeration, freezers, air conditioning, fans, foam mattresses, electricity, solar panels, batteries, generators, inverters, window screens, mosquito nets, plywood construction and tin roofs to make life easier than ever wherever we go. Has it ever been easier to go and live near the ends of the earth?
The thing we need the most to reach the world with the Gospel is still the same.
We need people.
We need people who are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to tell people who know nothing of the God of the Bible. We need people who have great passion for the glory of God and the eternal souls of the unreached.
Where will those people come from?
Faith comes by hearing the word of God which is spoken by messengers who are sent.
They will come from people who are making disciples and equipping saints for the work of the ministry.
They will come from gatherings of Christians where the glory of God is faithfully revealed, where His heart for the unreached people groups is carefully made known and where personal sacrifice for His glory in exchange for treasure laid up in heaven is made common.
How will they get involved with planting reproducing churches among unreached people groups?
Someone must tell them of the needs and the opportunities. Someone must ask them to get involved.
That’s where we come in. Our ministry involves pursing connections with future missionaries and the churches who will send them. Knowing precedes going. We help them connect with the information they need to make wise decisions.
A team of Christians, our supporters, make it possible for us to devote our time and energy toward engaging the next wave of Bible teachers and church planters who will reach the unreached. They make it possible for us to inform, inspire and invite the next wave of missionaries.
We are looking for the next wave of people who will dedicate their lives to reaching the unreached.
We are also looking for churches who will send and support them, the people who will lend their education and skills to help them succeed and the long term and short term volunteers who will speed their work. There are many opportunities to get involved!
We pray that the heartbeat of our Savior and the cries of the unreached souls will penetrate the noise of good things which reach the ears of people with willing hearts. (See Exodus 35.) Then, by faith in God’s word, they will go.
Thank you for helping us serve them.
Would you like to help us reach more people? You might support what we are doing, pray, help us with resources, pass on the vision and join us in the work.
Could we come tell your friends what God is doing among previously unreached people groups and how they can join the teams?
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Luke 10:2
