Sun N Fun was a blast! Sure there were airplanes there … LOTS of them! It’s the second largest air show in the USA. However, what was really fun was sharing the Good News with people who asked the reason of our hope, sharing missions with Christians who were unaware of God’s plan to reach the world and engaging people who are looking for God’s specific direction as they are stepping out in faith to serve Him.
We shared a presentation tent with four other organizations where we set up booths, banners, electronic displays, a flight simulator and talked to people. MAF dedicated a Cessna 208 Caravan for the Lord’s work in Congo. (It had been rebuilt since being turned upside down at a previous event.) JAARS dedicated a new Kodiak by Quest Aircraft for use as their fourth new aircraft in Papua New Guinea. I expect it will serve several of our co-workers, too, until the pilots and aircraft needed are acquired. So, a blessing to JAARS is a blessing to us!
Churches in the area organized food, housing and vehicles for many of the 45 missionaries who helped with representing their organizations! We were so grateful for the food, assistance and fellowship. I had the privilege of speaking at three different churches and meeting God’s people who are serving Him in the Lakeland, FL area! Diana was not able to go with me as planned due to a last minute illness, so I guess we will need to go back to Florida to see our friends there.
Thank you for praying for us! Please continue to pray for laborers.
