Computers
Thanks for your prayers for the computer services. Despite the variety of locations the team members work from around the USA, the team is cohesive and getting the job done. Thanks for praying!
Another answer to prayer is intern Zach in Wisconsin, who is working on the helpdesk to answer tickets. Scott recently sent Zach some pictures of Ethnos360 new platform for finance, so Zach could help users find their W-2 forms. Dave, Scott’s boss, said Zach is a people person who helps users understand the issues. He is a good communicator and an answer to prayer to take some load off the team.
Scott’s colleagues are doing overview training with Microsoft for some new software they’ll be implementing. Pray for a sane mind as they learn and continue to complete regular work. They are behind, but not missing deadlines.
The team will be working to move operations to Microsoft Cloud Server, which will take at least a year. It has many benefits for login security and for troubleshooting issues. After it is implemented, they may be able to program the typical installation they do for users now, and save the team a lot of time. Until then, they continue with orders and setup for missionaries.
Videos
The video about Stephen Narwold is finished! How can you choose between ministry overseas in Brazil or ministry at the home office in Florida? Watch the video to see Stephen Narwold’s dilemma and answer.
Next up, I’m working on finishing the Bible Translation video project, which has turned into four short videos instead of one long video that didn’t flow very well! I’m excited to see this wrap up and be shared on social media. The social media team is focusing on educating people about the “Big Picture” and working slowly through seven phases of church planting. I’ll also be editing short video testimonies from missionaries who work with the Hewa people of Papua New Guinea to go with those themes.
Momentum is building
“Momentum is building towards ‘Gospel Day’ in Amdu,” wrote Hattons, who work in Papua New Guinea. “Translation of key Old Testament stories and portions of the Gospels is underway so that we can write evangelistic Bible lessons.” As Hatton’s finish their home assignment, they look forward to returning to the Amdu people with expectation of a new church being born.
Scott and I are also excited because we are expecting another baby to join our family in September. Please pray for a healthy baby, and wisdom choosing a health care provider.
