Dear Family & Friends,
Thank you so much for being an integral part of our ministry! Amdu, Wantakia, and Pei people groups in Papua New Guinea are hearing the chronological Bible teaching in their language! (Missionaries are following COVID regulations for their countries.) And new Kaje believers are being baptized. It’s exciting to see God build His church.
You’ve experienced missionary life.
Under stay-at-home, you’ve experienced remote missionary life this year! Being isolated from a regular church family meeting on Sundays, only having limited interaction with another family (perhaps your neighbors), doing church online or in a tiny group under 10, only seeing grandparents or grandkids over zoom/online screens, slow internet with everyone on it, and perhaps not being able to order take-out.
You’ve had a taste of the loneliness missionaries can experience away from friends and family. It reminds me of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
I’m so thankful for our neighbors that we’ve been able to see as well as the shaded backyard behind our house. Joseph loves to play outside everyday. Though we enjoy being home, it is hard to be isolated from friends and co-workers. I’m so thankful that stay-at-home has lifted for us.

Finishing the Bible Translation series.
Ministry Update
Covid definitely slowed things down under work-at-home. Only a few people were allowed at the home office during that time. The social media channel was closed for a while, and computer parts were prioritized for certain businesses for a while. Thankfully the computer parts are available again.
When I tried to export a video on my laptop at home, it failed twice and took about the whole afternoon to export. At work it took about 5 minutes. So I really appreciate being able to get back to the office with the computer. Though I miss having lots of co-workers around. The office has been empty with less than 4 people on the floor usually.
I just finished up the 4-part series on Bible Translation and will be releasing them soon on vimeo.
Prayer Requests
- Prayer to know what video project to prioritize.
- Prayer for Scott to not be affected too much by the summer heat. August is the hottest month.
- Prayer for Joseph to have wisdom raising him and teaching him about God.
- For a healthy baby girl to safely join our family.
