The day has finally arrived! We are excited and anxious, but committing our way to the Lord; He is a faithful and merciful God.
We go to the hospital tonight, leaving Nya and Noah with our Mom’s in Edinburgh. Our little girl should be born tomorrow at some point.
Please pray:
1) That the delivery goes well and there is no need for a C-section – this would mean Annika and the baby would be apart for days.
2) Tomorrow after the birth, baby Karis will have a couple of procedures. She will have medicine given to her to keep a flap open in her heart to allow oxygenated blood to mix and her to get oxygen to her body. Pray her oxygen levels in the blood are high.
3) If this doesn’t stabilize her she will need an invasive procedure to open another flap in her heart – this is done with a catheter; it goes in through an artery into her heart, a little balloon is inflated and pulled back through the flap making a larger hole allowing oxygenated blood to mix better with un-oxygenated blood. There is a risk with this procedure so pray that if needed it will go well.
4) Pray God would be gracious to us and that Karis will be stable at the end of Monday.
5) Pray God would sustain us emotionally and spiritually and that our hope and God’s love which passes understanding would somehow be displayed to those around us.
We covet your prayers and need them – thank-you for your work before the throne on our behalf.

I will pray for safe delivery, any procedures needed to be effective, for Mother’s safety and for a complete protection before during and after. All rests in the Great Physicians Hands.
