Banana Dilemma

February 9, 2008 by

Bananas and more Bananas

Our Agutaynen friends don’t have much.  Yet, many of them still want to give us something to show their appreciation.  The main thing we are given is bananas.  Bananas are a very useful fruit.  Many things can be made with bananas.  Yummy things, like banana cream pie, banana pudding, and banana bread.  Bananas can be eaten by themselves and provide great nutrition.  Bananas only pose one small problem.  My family, wonderful as they are, has had its limit of bananas.  Even banana bread, the one thing of the previous list that they formerly enjoyed, has become tiresome to them.  So while we are given stalks of bananas, the only one helping me eat them is Jonathan. At eight months, he doesn’t make much of a dent in the seemingly endless supply.  I don’t think our Agutaynen friends mind our banana dilemma though, because that means they get all of the banana bread I make!

What is your favorite banana recipe?
