These are busy days as we wrap up our second term of service here in the Philippines. Currently, we are packing all of our things into boxes to be left in storage, or to be brought with us to the States. Stephen has phased out of full-time work on the lessons, spending limited time with our partner Manfred Zimmermann each week, just to review the upcoming lesson. The days are counting down and we only have a bit over a week before we leave the village. Our children have gone through their toys and have selected items to give to the children in the village. So each afternoon our family takes a walk and visits with a family or two, beginning our good-byes (until we return), and giving “gifts”.
Our next stop will be our island’s guesthouse, where we will stay for a couple weeks. During this time we hope to sell our truck, spend time with Stephen’s parents, get some immunizations and possibly have some dental work done. Then it will be off to Manila. There we will meet with leadership, and Rebekah and Abigail will have school assessments. All of this time will speed by and we will soon be seeing each of you! Thank you for praying with us throughout all of the transitions! Please continue to pray for the Agutaynen people.
