With only two weeks left in the States, we have begun our “lasts”. Last week, Ginger made her last trip to JoAnn’s Fabric. She might have sung her last solo last Sunday. Yesterday, we went to the Kroc Center for one last dip in the pool. This morning we made our last online order. This week we will be involved in our last Vacation Bible School. Sunday will be our last church meeting. Next week will be full of more lasts: like last s’mores, last parade and last fireworks. And then we will be packing our last suitcase. The lasts will all come to an end in two weeks when we say our last good-bye and get on the airplane.
As we get closer to that last good-bye, our family has many mixed emotions and thoughts: i.e. will we get everything done . . . can we see so and so one more time . . . what do we take back with us . . . what do we leave behind. We greatly appreciate your prayers for our family. While none of us will miss the travels and cold weather here in the States, we will all miss friends and family, and conveniences like abundance of water and nearby grocery stores.
