Not Judged

Starting in July, I, Ginger, have had the privilege of working alongside the ladies with the Kids’ Bible Club.  We meet every Friday afternoon to talk about the lesson for the week, and to explain any crafts they may be making with the kids.  At first, we had Bible story lessons that were already written that we just gave them, and the ladies took turns teaching.  Lately though, we are taking the next step and are using our time each week to write the lesson together.  This has been great training for them, not just in writing a Kids’ Bible lesson, but in digging into the Word themselves.

An added blessing for me at the end of our time together is that we share a snack and just chat.  This allows me to learn what is happening in their lives, and how they are growing.  A few weeks ago, they were talking about a meeting that was recently held in the village where they had to declare their church membership.  It was encouraging to me to hear that they boldly proclaimed their church to be “Faith Bible”, and went on to explain to anyone who asked that their church is a family where they study the Bible, feel welcome, and do not feel judged.  Praise the Lord for the growth evidenced in the lives of these ladies, and the privilege I have of witnessing it!
