As you all know, December was a month . . . full of anticipation with the church dedication and Christmas program . . . full of uncertainty with Ginger’s health . . . and full of prayers and words of encouragement from you all through email.
As you might remember, Ginger was not able to return to the village for the church dedication. However, we were hoping that we all would be able to return to the village for the Christmas Program. Along with the church dedication, our family and the believers in the village had spent several months preparing for the Christmas Program. Songs and script were prepared by Ginger, costumes had been made, background scenes were designed and painted by the Jordan kids, and the believers (along with the youth group and Kid’s Bible Club) had several rehearsals to practice their scenes and songs. Upon our return two days before the program, the believers were busy with final preparations and rehearsal.
At the Christmas Program . . . we were excited to see over 100 families come . . . we were blessed as the believers acted out the Christmas story while two others read the story from the Bible. At the end of the program, prior to giving the visitors a gift, one of the church teachers gave a short challenge to the visitors to receive the gift of salvation. We thank the Lord for allowing us to witness this event for His glory and thank you for your continued prayers, especially for Ginger.
As way of an update on Ginger, she has done well the last two weeks (free of headaches and numbness) and had a follow-up doctor’s appointment today. The doctor is reducing most of Ginger’s medication and would like to see her again in two months.
As we begun the new year, we are excited to see several new visitors attending church. As a result, the teachers are talking about starting some new evangelistic outreaches in the homes of these visitors. Please pray for open doors and open hearts.
Please take a moment to catch a glimpse below of the pictures of the December activities.
