Behind the Mask

June 22, 2020 by Stephen and Ginger Jordan

After ten weeks of quarantine, the believers are excited to be meeting once again, even behind masks.  Like many of your churches, we have implemented several precautions for our time of worship, including:

Stephen teaching on Sunday.
  1. Everyone must wear a face mask.  This includes the teacher!
  2. Upon entering the building, everyone’s temperature is checked, and hands are sanitized.
  3. Everyone observes social distancing.
Everyone observes social distancing on Sunday.

For the last three weeks, Stephen has been teaching and, hopefully, encouraging the believers from His Word.  It is both difficult for Stephen to teach wearing a face mask, and also difficult to know how the believers are receiving the Word, as he can’t see their facial expressions.  But this is just a small inconvenience compared to the joy of being together once again.

Wearing Masks.
Hopefully this puts a smile upon your face!

We certainly miss seeing the smiles upon their faces.  As many of you know, Filipinos have the best smiles in the world!

Is there a smile upon your face?  We hope so!  Especially as you gather once again with your home church.
