Like many of you, December is a busy month with . . . extra shopping, extra cooking, extra cleaning, and extra events. For us, December is full of all those items plus extra evangelism!
Last week, Stephen had the opportunity to share a Christmas message with the students and relatives of the local preschools.
And then, this past Sunday, the church hosted a Christmas service and celebration for the children who attend Kid’s Bible Club (KBC). Over 50 children and their parents attended this evangelistic service. Like the previous week, the believers planned this event and the program which also included a solo by Ginger, clarinet music by Darryl (Stephen’s dad), and another Christmas challenge by Stephen. The children sang two of their favorite songs, and Gerry, one of the church leaders, shared a message about God’s love and God’s gift of eternal life. Gerry is passionate about seeing children come to know Christ at an early age. One of the parents told Gerry:
“My daughter is always reading her Bible at home and telling us about what she is learning at KBC. I am really happy to see how my daughter is excited to be learning about God.”
Today, along with Stephen’s parents, we gave out boxes of Christmas cookies to all in attendance in church, including the believers and visitors who still need Jesus as their Savior. Along with the cookies, they also received a Gospel tract.
We praise the Lord for these opportunities to share the Gospel message with our neighbors. We also hope this month is full of extra evangelism for you. Please let us know how you are sharing the Good News and the Reason for the Season during this busy month.
