Here in the Philippines, we are surrounded by God’s beautiful creation and many tropical flowers. In our yard and in our neighborhood, one can find flowers such as the bird of paradise, the desert rose, several varieties of hibiscus and orchids, and so many other flowers. Occasionally, Stephen likes to go out and either take pictures of these flowers and/or pick them for Ginger.
One day last month, Stephen noticed that we had a white lily in our yard and grabbed his camera. He proceeded out the door barefoot and was about to step into the grass. At that moment, he noticed a movement just a few feet away. Yep, it was a snake, and as Stephen suspected, it was a black cobra. He hates snakes!
The next few minutes were filled with excitement as Stephen (equipped with a 2×2 board) and Jonathan (equipped with a machete) together removed the snake. We will spare you the details, especially for those who like snakes. In the end, Stephen captured the picture and Ginger received a lily.
All of this to say, “Thank You” for your prayer. We are thankful for God’s protection on that day last December, and all the other days we have seen His protection in our lives.
