Today it seems like everyone has a cell phone in their hand and their eyes stuck to the screen, even here in the Philippines.

Years ago, I heard the phrase . . .
“Keep your eyes on Him, and your nose in His Book.”
As we prepare to leave the village soon, this is something we hope the believers will do every day . . . keep their eyes on Him, and their noses in His Book.
This past Sunday, we gave away Bibles, the Agutaynen/Tagalog New Testament, to all who came to church, to believers and to visitors. Honestly, I was disappointed to only see a handful of visitors . . . Maybe for a moment, I didn’t keep my eyes on Him. But we are truly thankful for those who came, heard a Gospel message, and left with a Bible in their hand.

After the service, there was a stack of Bibles still on the table. Several of the believers asked if they could take some Bibles and give them to their family and to their neighbors. These believers had their eyes on the Lord and wanted to share His Word. What a blessing and encouragement the believers are to us.
