Jen and I have a night guard, who guards our houses at night. It’s not unusual here, especially with two young white ladies living in a courtyard together. I didn’t know, though, that it also came with other perks, besides just making sure we stay safe at night . . .
When I got up a few mornings ago and said good morning to our night guard, he showed me what you see in the picture here. He explained that we have a rat in the yard and he wants to catch it. Why? Because he wants to eat it. Go right ahead, Mr. Night Guard! Isn’t that handy, having a night guard who likes to eat rat so that they want to catch any rats you might have? Too bad he doesn’t like to eat mice, too, since he said that there’s a big family of them under the tree right outside our courtyard. He said that he doesn’t like the taste of them as much. Oh well, I guess you have to enjoy the perks you get, right?
I’m glad to know you are safe at night and the rats are not! Sounds like a good deal for everyone! Well, maybe not the rat. I just discovered a family of mice living in a bird house, they may be a little cuter thanI a rat, but I’m not a fan of them either!
