A sad way of understanding the world

May 11, 2023 by Susie

This morning Adama* told me something that is breaking my heart and reminding me even more of why I’m here.  We were talking about God, and how He doesn’t need anything.  Adama added that He doesn’t want anything either.  I objected, saying that, for example, God wants us to follow Him. He objected, saying that while it’s good for us to follow Him, it’s for our own benefit and doesn’t make any difference to God.  God made all the angels and people and animals and everything, so if people don’t follow Him, it doesn’t matter to Him; how much less would it matter to Him if one little person like myself didn’t follow Him!

For those of you who know God like I do, based on the words of the Bible, this is such a sad understanding of who God is!  Through the pages of the Bible we see God’s heart: how it’s broken when His people reject Him, how He tries over and over to woo them back, and how He rejoices over a single sinner who repents, just to mention a few examples.  Can you pray with me that Adama and the rest of My People will come to understand God’s love for them?

    Susie,
Something you need to know about me. I am a Calvinist.

I will pray that Adama’s heart is opened to the Gospel. Sometimes these prayers take a long time because the human will can be very strong. My conversion took a long time and I lived in a Christian home and there was a lot of prayers for me until a man that I thought was a Christian “NUT” came to work on an airplane that I was working on, and when I saw him I sdaid that I had enough religion and all he said to me was “Mac, everybody can’t believe”
I got home and read John 14 and alone in the night I surrendered to God. The next fay he came the same route and I gave him the biggest hug I could.

Praying with you, Susie. Thank you for being willing to be there sharing God’s message of love and forgiveness for the people He created for Himself, may many in Your Village have their hearts open to Him. All around us we have loved ones also who know this message but have not received Him. We pray for the eyes of their hearts be open too. Thank You Jesus for Your unfailing love for us!!
