Merry Christmas, from Alabama,
Everyone seems to be having a warm winter, whether in Africa, America or Canada – although our “cold snap” is expected this weekend. I don’t know if we’ll have snow for Christmas, but we send you our warmest greetings through this personal video link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ny81gw9q1wuc3th/NTMC_TheoMarthaEnns_1080p.mp4?dl=0 .

My office hours are filled with preparing training materials for the NTM equipping program in Africa. Actually, my first project involves transcribing a recorded set of lectures in French, to be put into lesson format for the African candidates who want to know what is involved in cross-cultural church-planting. Then I am translating these lectures into English (for use in Zimbabwe and South Africa), for re-translation into Swahili (for Tanzania) and translation into Portuguese (for use in Mozambique).
Our personal cross-cultural ministry has included preaching at a home for mentally-challenged residents, and preaching in Creole to a Haitian Baptist Church here in Albertville, Alabama. (Who would have thought that our 3 years in Haiti would bear fruit here in the middle of the southern States?) We also enjoy our outreach within the Celebrate Recovery program of our home church here in Rainsville.
May this season of celebrating Christ’s birth motivate each of us.
Praise God with us for:
– Opportunities to share the Good News to those around us;
– Joy in caring for my mom in our home – she is adjusting well to Alabama;
– His enabling in the tediousness of translation challenges.
Continue praying with us, for:
– Inspiration and persistence in working from home;
– The African candidates who are being equipped for cross-cultural church-planting;
– More laborers to reach language groups that still haven’t heard the Christmas story.
Gladly serving Christ, the King of Kings,
