“And He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own…” What a personal thought and hymn. That of our Savior walking and talking with us as a friend. Enjoying our company and desiring to connect with us. I’ve been thinking lately of how wonderful it is to have a personal, compassionate, and understanding God. These characteristics have been such an encouragement for me. He could so easily be demanding or harsh or bossy. But instead He empathizes with us and wants to walk with us through this life and the next! It was something Adam and Eve enjoyed as well in the beginning and all thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice we get to walk with Him too. “…And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known”

What has the Ullum family “walk” looked like lately? Tim has been involved in many area committee leadership meetings, organizing and thinking through our strategy for survey into new areas that still need the Gospel, and teaching and preaching at our Indonesian church here. We’ve had 3 new families move to our town to continue their Indonesian language study and we’ve had several opportunities to help them get set up and settled here. Andrea has been moving the girls through the final months of 8th grade and is starting to think through our High School Education plan for the fall. The boys are learning the basics in the local language and continue to have LOADS of energy and excitement for life! Torin turned 3 in April and has so much fun playing with his siblings and our dog Mochi.

Thank you for praying for Dina & Abby as they went on the Youth Retreat last month. They had a really nice time(aside from it being jellyfish season and almost everyone got stung). They enjoyed games and fellowship and Bible teaching in Indonesian. They are still honing their abilities in the language so a fast teaching lesson is still hard to grasp but it’s coming!

We’re planning a trip into our village home next month for about 2 weeks. We’re all looking forward to some time in there again and to connecting with our friends and the believers. We hope to have several opportunities to teach and reconnect with the Church there. We’ve been quite burdened lately that we haven’t been in the village to teach and disciple them. We’re trusting God’s timing and ways in regards to this burden. Please pray with us that the believers in the village would, “stand firm.”

We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to so many of you that gave donations in order to have our 9th grade, and Kindergarten homeschool books sent over to us! And they have arrived!!! This is a huge provision for us and helps enable us to continue educating our kiddos! We are so thankful for your help!

Also thank you for each one of you that regularly give toward the Church Planting ministry we are involved in here. This month Tim will get into 4 different tribal areas to support the ministry teams serving there. You also are a part of the Gospel going out to people in their own language! Many have heard and yet many still live in darkness and hopelessness. Thank you for continuing to hold up our larger team here in prayer!

May you continue to take time to walk and talk with the Lord through all the ups and downs of life!
In him,
Tim, Andrea, Dina, Abby, Titus, & Torin Ullum
Tim, we are so proud of you all for what you are doing. God is blessing your bold outreaches. Yours will be the “stars” in That Day spoken of in Daniel 12.
