I’ve been reading in the Psalms and was encouraged by Psalms 93 this week. Its talks of how awesome God’s works are, how He enables us to flourish like a palm tree, and how God wants us to be fruitful from our youth until we reach old age. I think it’s cool how the God of the Universe wants to use us to do His work in this world. Some fruit is obvious and others are more unnoticed or not seen yet. But none the less He produces the fruit in us and so we can declare “that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
Speaking of fruits, we’ve enjoyed so many fun fruits here in the tropics. Papaya is our breakfast staple, Asian pears are a sweet treat, and lately we’ve enjoyed the Soursop which is green and poky on the outside, the texture is a bit like wet kleenex, but the flavor is a great balance of tart and sweet! Sound strange? Yes not everyone likes them but on the complex where we’re living there are 6 trees that are fruiting with these unique soursop fruits! The boys and I do our daily rounds seeing if any are ready to be picked.
Our days are filled with meetings, Bible lesson preparations and then recording them, and being part of the planning team as we bring on new families to do church planting in our region. We’re also keeping in contact with the believers from the village and planning for a few of them to come out to town. The trips to town create great opportunities for discipleship as we work through checking translated portions together.
The girls are doing well here in town. It is definitely a different lifestyle from being in the village. The girls are getting involved in the Indonesian youth group here in town every Sunday night. In April they will go on a retreat with this group over Easter weekend. Pray for them. The boys are enjoying preschool activities and are extremely active!!! They keep us on our toes all day long. Pray for Titus and Torin to have good opportunities to learn the local language.
We want to thank you for the part you play in praying for our family, in sending emails, packages, and What’sApp or Singal messages. It’s so good to stay connected and we have been encouraged through so many of you! It was great to see some of you on the Zoom call at CFC last weekend!
Let’s continue to encourage one another as we walk with Him!

I was so glad to get this because for some reason I never saw the January post. Loved really catching up by reading them both ~ love the pics! It was also great to “see” you last Sunday on the big screen. You looked beautiful, Andrea!
It’s good to know that everyone is adjusting to a very different lifestyle from that of the village. So glad to know that you love where God has placed you in every season of ministry, and so blessed to be a teenie part of it all!
Love to all!
