Urgent Prayer Request

Urgent Prayer Request

January 3, 2022

UPDATE ON HOW TO GIVE Hi,Some of you have mentioned having trouble with donating to Lini’s medical expenses. Apparently the scheme I described creates issues with IRS rules. I apologize. The mission is not allowed to have a designation “for Lini,” since she is neither a member of the mission or an official “project” of […]

Africa (w/out the Trip) If you’ve been following our recent saga, you know we weren’t able to actually go to Africa as planned. So we can’t call this an Africa Ministry Trip. But Bill was still able to do the ministry part. He pre-recorded his main introductory two-hour session last Sunday, once his cough was […]

Thanks to all who prayed. We believe God heard your prayers and answered in an unexpected way. Sick! We were packed and ready. Our Uber to the airport was booked for 3:30 a.m. But Bill had a cough and other chest cold symptoms all through the night. It was worse in the morning. Then it […]

Here’s a very quick update (you’ll see why it’s quick in a minute.) We’re taking off on a ministry trip to AFRICA tomorrow! This is the first international trip we’ve taken since mid-2019 (Thanks to COVID). It’s Donna’s first trip AT ALL in about 2 years, and her first trip to Africa! We’re thankful to […]

Talk is not Cheap

Talking is Important. Missionaries need to talk… fluently! They have an important message to communicate. And it takes years of hard work to gain that fluency. That’s why Bill and his team are developing the updated Engage culture/language acquisition (CLA) how-to materials, and the Stages CLA app. We want to make the task easier by […]

Busier Than Ever October finds us grateful to be well and safe during the pandemic. We pray you are, too! COVID-19 has changed many things in our lives recently, but it has not stopped our ministry of reaching the Unreached. In fact, ministry-wise, we are busier than ever. Here’s a quick update on what is […]

The Virus that Shook the World COVID-19. The whole world is talking about it. Everyone is concerned. Everyone’s routines and lives are being disrupted. People are dying. We pray that each of you is safe and healthy whether you are sheltering at home, or heading out to work or shop. The Morning that Changed Everything […]

Where’s the best place to learn culture and language? Answer: in a cultural community where that language is spoken. But not all communities (or teachers, or schools…) are equal. On our trip to Asia in September, we checked out a language school where our people might learn national language and culture. Bill was asked to […]

What Have Bill and Donna Been Up To? Here are a few examples of what we’ve been doing recently… Bill has been Skyping and emailing with missionaries in the Middle East, Mexico, Brazil, the USA, and a few countries in Asia, helping them work through their language learning struggles. We spent a week in […]

Our recent ministry trip to the Asia Pacific region was a great success. And we did not experience any missed flights or delays like we did going to Mexico in November. Now, our travel companions as we were locked inside a metal tube hurtling through the stratosphere… that’s another story. It is flu season–and […]

Why “Heart Languages”?

A person's Heart Language is the language they use to think and to most easily describe their feelings; a message in the heart language will have the deepest impact.

Even people who are skillfully multilingual have only one heart language.

We are committed to the belief that the most effective communication of the gospel and the most fruitful discipling ministry will be done in the heart language of the hearers.
