Earlier this week when Amy went in to our medical clinic for a planned check in with the doc, we found that her hemoglobin had dropped to the levels we saw just before heading to Australia last November when she received an intravenous iron infusion. Her numbers this week were equal to the lowest we’ve seen them on any of her many blood tests. As that trendline continues to slowly decline and the resultant side effects slowly intensify, we look ahead four weeks to when we’ll be heading back to the US to seek further medical care, testing, and (Lord willing) diagnosis for Amy. We praise the Lord that, drawing on our savings and the timely gifts of some dear friends, we had the funds necessary to purchase our airfare. We praise Him for the peace He is giving us through this and rejoice as the Great Physician has linked us with two fantastic doctors who are seeking to help us connect with the right medical resources in East Texas.
In sickness or in health, God is good.
As we mentioned in our last update, since arriving in PNG in 2016 we had kept before us the potential of owning a vehicle and house here someday. As another aviation family transitions off the field this month that potential became a realistic possibility, but with the timing and expense of our pending medical trip we just weren’t sure. We prayed. A few folks stepped forward and richly blessed our family through their generous gifts. We prayed. Then, over the past two days, the Lord allowed the pieces to fall into place in such a way that tomorrow afternoon we’re scheduled to sign a sales contract for a house and vehicle. While we’ll have payments to make for some time in order to settle the full balance, the Lord, Jehovah Jireh, our provider, furnished the finances needed to make the down payment.
Whether facing need or abundance, God is good.
A friend recently shared this quote:
We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.
Chuck Swindoll
Thankfully, we serve the God for whom nothing is too hard (Jer 32:17 & 27), nothing is impossible (Matt 19:26, Luke 1:37).
We just wanted to pause and take the opportunity to give God the glory for what He has done on our behalf, for what He is doing now, and for what we have faith He will continue to do in the weeks and months ahead. As He acts out of His love for us and for His name’s sake, may we magnify Him among the nations that all shall know:
GOD IS GOOD – ALL THE TIME | ALL THE TIME – GOD IS GOOD

God has placed your family on my heart, here lately, every day. What an honor it is to join with others in praying for all your needs and watching the faithfulness of our loving Father provide. He answers our prayers beyond our expectations. Trusting God for a good report on Amy’s health.

Praying for you – that God will answer and give calm every situation – that He will protect with his mighty arms – that he will sustain and cause your work for Him to flourish.

Such great faith..and yet, even if our faith is as a mustard seed, great results will happen. Praying for you all, and those you will encounter in your travels.
